Big Chief RV Resort is located on the southeast side of Lake Buchanan by the spillway of Buchanan Dam in Burnet, Texas. Approximately 70 miles from Austin. Ten miles west of Burnet, go north on FM 690 @ the caution light. The resort is one mile on the left. From Austin: Follow I-35N and take Hwy. 29 west through Burnet to caution light at FM 690. Take a right and the resort is one mile on left. From Dallas/Ft Worth: Take I-35 S. Turn west on Hwy 29, at Burnet continue on Hwy 29 across Hwy 281 for 10 miles west of Burnet. Turn right on FM690 and the resort is located 1 mile on the left from that intersection. From Houston: Take 290W for approximately 145 miles. Exit Anderson Lane to Hwy. 183 for 2 miles. Take I-35N to Hwy. 29 west through Burnet to caution light at FM 690. Take a right and the resort is one mile on left. From San Antonio: Take 281N to Hwy. 29 west through Burnet to caution light at FM 690. Take a right and the resort is one mile on left.
